Ky. adds 1,973 new cases of COVID-19, 42 deaths

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear reported 1,973 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, and that the positivity rate once again saw a decline.

The positivity rate dipped down to 5.37 percent from 5.70 the day before—the governor also reported 42 new deaths, bringing the death toll up to 10,104. There are currently 688 individuals in the hospital with COVID-19, 175 in the ICU and 112 on a ventilator.

On the state incidence rate map, Todd County has joined Christian County in the ‘orange’ labeling, while Trigg County is still ‘red’.
