A man is fighting for his life in a Nashville hospital after he was shot Wednesday night in Hopkinsville.
Hopkinsville police received a call at about 6:45 p.m. of a man with a gunshot wound in the parking lot of the Lafayette Road MaxFuel Express.
Sgt. Tony Sierra says 21-year old Seth Stout of Morganfield was inside a vehicle with a bullet wound to the chest and investigation determined the shooting happened near the Meadowbrook Apartments on Charlie Court.
The incident report says the shooting happened during the course of an armed robbery and the suspects also struck a woman on the head with a weapon during the incident causing her minor injuries.
Sgt. Sierra says police are looking into suspects, but no arrests have been made.
Stout was flown by Air Evac to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, where he was listed in critical condition.
