Torchlight Tales is coming up Saturday evening at Jeffers Bend Environmental Center, where families will be able to hear the story of the Bell Witch and kids can dress up for the occasion.
It begins at 5:30 at the facility on Metcalfe Lane off North Main Street and Charles Turner says official local historian William Turner and Wayne Goolsby will tell the always-popular Bell Witch story.
Volunteer Paige Parker says this year’s event will include the first Bell Witch Costume Affair in which children of all ages, especially those 3-12, are encouraged to wear a Bell Witch type costume.
Admission is $5 per carload and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or a blanket to sit on.
