KSP: Cadiz woman died from blunt force trauma

Kentucky State Police say the Cadiz woman killed on Hilltop Street in Trigg County last week died from blunt force trauma.

That was the result of an autopsy on 71-year old Mary Dullenty of Cadiz performed at the Medical Examiner’s Office in Louisville, according to a news release, which says the investigation is ongoing.

As previously reported, the Trigg County Sheriff’s Department received a report of 48-year old Harold Jett of Taylorsville, Illinois firing a shot from a gun at a vehicle on South Road in Cadiz on Thursday of last week and deputies and Cadiz police officers attempted to make contact with him after he fled in a vehicle.

A pursuit led to the home on Hilltop Street, where Jett exited his vehicle and entered a home.

A short time later, Jett exited the residence and was arrested. Deputies then located Dullenty injured inside the home and she was taken to Trigg County Hospital, where she would die from her injuries.
