Ky. adds 2,008 COVID cases, positivity rate at 8 percent

The positivity rate did go back up just slightly Friday, as Governor Andy Beshear reported 2,008 new cases of COVID-19.

He also reported 31 deaths, bringing the death toll in the Commonwealth up to 9,293 since the pandemic began—the positivity rate increased from 7.91 percent back up to 8 percent even. On the state incidence rate map, Christian and Todd counties are still labelled as ‘orange’ while Trigg county remains ‘red’.

There are currently 1,273 individuals in the hospital with COVID-19, 373 in ICU and 239 on a ventilator.
