NFL

After missing the last two games, Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones practiced for the third straight day Friday and said “he’s ready to go” as the Titans host the Buffalo Bills Monday night at Nissan Stadium.

NHL

The Nashville Predators return to action this evening hosting the Carolina Hurricanes. The Predators are 0-1 on the season after losing to the expansion Seattle Kraken Thursday night. First puck drops at 7 in Bridgestone Arena.

NBA

Ja Morant had 17 points in the Memphis Grizzlies 118-105 loss to the Chicago Bulls Friday night. Memphis concludes the preseason 3-3 and welcomes the Cleveland Cavaliers in their season opener Wednesday night.

Golf

Keith Mitchell fired an eight under 64 Friday and stands at 18 under through two rounds of the PGA Tour’s CJ Cup in Las Vegas. Jordan Spieth is one of four golfers five shots back at 13 under. Louisville area native Justin Thomas had a five under 67 Friday and is eight under going into Saturday’s third round.

Scott Parel had a seven under 65 and leads two golfers including Robert Karlsson by one stroke heading into Saturday’s second round of the PGA Tour Champions SAS Championship in Cary, NC. Franklin’s Kenny Perry had an even par 72 Friday.

NASCAR

NASCAR’s Cup Series rolls into Texas for the Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 500 on Sunday. The Round of eight will work toward becoming the round of four as one lucky driver could punch a ticket to the final round. Kyle Larson is coming off a big win last week at the Roval. He starts this week up front alongside Denny Hamlin.
