Positivity rate drops to 8 percent, Ky. adds 2,380 COVID cases

The positivity rate for COVID-19 in Kentucky is continuing its downward slope.

The rate reached 8 percent even Wednesday, as reported by Governor Andy Beshear, who also reported 2,380 new cases of coronavirus, along with 26 newly reported deaths. That puts the death toll in the Commonwealth due to COVID at 9,210.

Christian County has joined Todd and Trigg for being labelled ‘orange’ on the state incidence rate map, while surrounding counties remain ‘red’.

There are currently 1,365 people hospitalized with the virus, 398 in the ICU and 275 on a ventilator.
