Officials have identified the man killed in a crash early Saturday morning on I-24 in Christian County.
Christian County Coroner Scott Daniel says 86-year-old Cecil Dean Gustin of Thompson, Utah was on his way to a business meeting when he crashed about 12:15 a.m. Saturday near the 85 mile-marker.
Gustin and 22-year-old Dilynn Roper of Vienna, Illinois had both been headed east when they collided and caught fire. Kentucky State Police say Gustin abruptly and for unknown reasons swerved from the right lane into the left and caused the collision with Roper.
Roper got out unharmed, but Gustan was trapped in his vehicle and died at the scene.
