Clarksville motorcyclist seriously injured in I-24 accident

A Clarksville man was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on I-24 just south of the state line Sunday afternoon in Montgomery County.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol investigated and determined 41-year-old Terrell Bowser of Clarksville was eastbound near the 2 mile-marker traveling in a staggered riding formation with several other motorcycles that are part of the same motorcycle club.

Bowser’s bike went off the roadway and into the median causing it to flip multiple times and ejecting Bowser.

Police say Bowser sustained multiple serious injuries and fractures, including severe injuries to his head.

He was flown by helicopter ambulance to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, where he was listed Monday morning in stable condition.

Other riders in the club said grooves in the roadway caused the crash, but the incident remains under investigation.

THP says Bowser was wearing a helmet.
