An investigation by the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office led to the arrest of a Madisonville man for the alleged rape of a child.
Deputies received a complaint on Sunday that 32-year old Joshua Overstreet of Madisonville had allegedly had in appropriate contact with a minor.
Further investigation determined based on evidence and statements that the minor had been raped and Overstreet was arrested.
He’s charged with first-degree rape of a child under the age of 12.
