Two Clarksville residents charged with animal cruelty

Two Clarksville residents are facing charges of animal cruelty following an investigation Wednesday that revealed multiple deceased dogs.

According to a news release from the Clarksville Police Department, officers were dispatched to 421 Plum Street for a welfare check in reference to animals on the property on Wednesday.  Upon arrival, they reportedly saw multiple dogs who were deceased on the property and a search warrant was obtained.

As a result of the search warrant, six deceased animals were discovered along with 22 other neglected dogs. The living animals were gathered up where they could then be treated by a veterinarian. The search of the residence also allegedly revealed a felony amount of marijuana and marijuana edibles.

The homeowners, Terry Mosley and Slyy Malone, were arrested and charged with multiple counts of animal cruelty and several drug charges.
