The Todd County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a children’s bike parade on July 3, along with the many activities taking place to celebrate the Fourth of July.
According to a news release, the Bike Parade is the third event in the Chamber of Commerce “Summer of Fun 2021” event series. The next event will be a pinewood derby at the Trenton Community Center on August 21, then will finish with cave tours at the Sharon Grove Community Park on September 6.
Families will meet in the Elkton Baptist Church parking lot on East Main Street at 4 p.m. The parade will begin at 4:30 p.m. and will loop around the Square and back. The first 50 kids to arrive will receive extra freebies to decorate their bike.
Chamber Executive Director Tiffany Groves says, “Kids and parents are invited to decorate bikes, wheelchairs, strollers, wagons and more and join in the fun. We hope families will attend the Bike Parade, then stay and enjoy all the exciting festivities planned for Elkton that evening.”
