No major damage reported from severe storms

There were scattered power outages, but no major damage reported after severe thunderstorms made their way across the southern Pennyrile region Sunday afternoon.

There were severe thunderstorm warnings issued at times for areas of Trigg, Christian and Todd counties. Christian County Emergency Management Director Randy Graham reported some sporadic tree damage in areas of northern Christian County.

In Todd County, Emergency Management Director Daniel Smith said heavy rain was the main issue. There was standing water in multiple places on KY 181 between the railroad tracks and Guthrie.

Trigg County Emergency Management Director David Bryant did not have any reports of damage.

Pennyrile Electric responded to outages in multiple counties, but Todd and Logan were hit the hardest.
