One person was injured in an accident Friday night in Madisonville.
It happened about 8:45 p.m. on Island Ford Road—with a news release saying a southbound car driven by 64-year old Monnie Mullins of Madisonville swerved into the path of a northbound pickup pulling a trailer driven by 40-year old Michael Stewart of Madisonville.
Stewart swerved to avoid a collision, but was unable to do so and went into the ditch.
Mullins was taken by ambulance to Baptist Health Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
