A Dawson Springs man was arrested for murder following a fatal shooting Friday night in Caldwell County.
Kentucky State Police are investigating and say 43-year old Joe Curnell of Dawson Springs shot 24-year old James Bannister of Eddyville at a location in the 100 block of Wood Lane about 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Bannister was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.
Curnell was arrested at his home in Dawson Springs early Saturday morning and charged with murder, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and tampering with evidence.
