Christian County Public Schools has named Kerry Stovall as the first district wide athletics director. According to a news release from CCPS, Stovall will be stepping down as Christian County boys’ basketball coach. He led the Colonels to the 2011 state basketball championship and in 13 seasons overall as head coach had a 251-143 record.
As district Athletic Director, Stovall will serve as the liaison with the Kentucky High School Athletics Association. He will monitor all athletic programs to ensure compliance with school board and KHSAA policies, as well as Title IX gender stipulations. Stovall will work with coaches and student athletes to achieve opportunities to compete at the college level.
