A weather-related accident on the Pennyrile Parkway early Friday morning sent a local man to the hospital.
It happened about 4:30 a.m. and the report from Hopkinsville police says 26-year old Abbi Cox of Greenville got onto the Parkway southbound from the Eagle Way Bypass interchange and lost control of her car on the snow and ice.
She struck a guard rail, bounced off and began spinning.
A passenger, 31-year old Brandon Safford of Hopkinsville, was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for head and shoulder pain from the air bag.
