Nortonville man federally indicted for alleged major meth operation

A Nortonville man was arrested Friday afternoon on a federal indictment for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

Members of the Madisonville-Hopkins County Vice/Narcotics Unit and Kentucky State Police arrested 28-year old Travis Baldwin at his garage located on Hopkinsville Road in Nortonville.

He was recently indicted by a federal grand jury following a 2-year investigation by the FBI and local and state authorities.

The indictment alleges he conspired with others possessed with the intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine.

If convicted, Baldwin could face 10 years to life in prison with a maximum fine of $100,000.

Additional indictments are expected to follow, according to police.
