Christian County’s long time coach Johnny Blane announced today he is stepping down at the conclusion of the season. Blane has been the Lady Colonels head coach since 2014 and served as an assistant before that for five years beginning in 2008.

Blane led the Lady Colonels to the 2018 State Softball Tournament with the team going 37-5-1. The 2016 and 2017 teams lost in the 2nd region finals with Blane’s overall mark currently at 162-61-2. Christian County is currently ranked fourth in the Kentucky Prep Softball Top 25 poll and is 23-6 this season.
