Nine celebrate beating addiction at Drug Court program graduation

Nine people are celebrating the results of their dedication to beating addiction, as they graduated from the Christian County Drug Court program Wednesday.

May is National Drug Court Month and a proclamation was signed by Hopkinsville Mayor Carter Hendricks and Christian County Judge Executive Steve Tribble declaring it so.  Mayor Hendricks congratulated the graduates, telling them what they accomplished takes astounding courage.

Graduate Robert Powell says he had reached a point where he felt completely lost, and drug court showed him the way.

Meredith Ezell says the drug court program helped pull her from a lifelong cycle of prison time and unsuccessful drug rehabilitation courses.

Denisa Killibrew, Kevin Loftus, Jeremy Hale, Rebecca Bourland, Jerri Haynes, Chasity Jenkins and Neil Powell also celebrated their graduation, each taking the time to talk about their individual journeys and those who helped them along the way.
