The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville has announced the hiring of an Education Coordinator as renovations continue at the historic building on East Ninth Street.
Director Alissa Keller appeared on WHOP Wednesday and said Kathleen Carter has been hired to fill that post and is already busy preparing for the summer.
Carter retired from Sinking Fork Elementary School following the 2017-18 school year.
Keller says renovations at the museum are well underway, though it may be hard to tell from the outside at times.
Fundraising efforts for the museum also continue, with a $500,000 goal for the capital campaign.
