KHSAA Board of Control votes to change football playoffs

The Kentucky High School Athletic Association Board of Control is meeting today.

The board voted earlier today to approve a measure discussed last month that will have teams beginning this season playing their first two rounds of the playoffs against teams within their district. The measure had been opposed by many coaches across the state, but the board was adamant for this to pass because it made more sense financially.

It was also reported by the Lexington Herald Leader as of today there are no title sponsors for the Commonwealth Gridiron Bowl nor the Girls Sweet 16 basketball tournament.
