Madisonville Police are investigating a residential fire from Friday night that happened under suspicious circumstances.
A citizen dialed 911 about 5:45 p.m. Friday reporting a fire at 139 South Harrig Street in Madisonville and firefighters were able to quickly get the blaze under control.
Police say the home had been unoccupied for several months and no one was injured in the blaze.
An investigation is underway to determine what caused the fire and anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers of Hopkins County at 270-825-1111.
