Man arrested three times Saturday after refusing to stay away from woman’s home

Hopkinsville Police arrested the same man three times Saturday for refusing to stay away from a home.

An arrest citation for 45-year old James Howard Simpson III of Hopkinsville says he was warned to stay away from the home of a woman on Thrush Drive at about 11:45 Friday night following a disturbance between the two.

He was arrested three hours later Saturday morning on a criminal trespassing charge after going back to the home and officers were called back to the same house at about 11:15 a.m. when the woman called ECC and said Simpson was banging on her windows.

Police quote him as saying he would not stop going over there because he is in love with the woman and cannot live without her and that she needs to feel the same way.

Simpson was released from jail again and arrested a third time just before 7 p.m. Saturday night when he returned to the home and was charged with violating conditions of release.

He remains lodged in the Christian County Jail.
