A surprise snowstorm caused several accidents in Christian County Sunday.
Christian County Sheriff-Elect Tyler DeArmond says a majority of the crashes early on were on I-24 and the Pennyrile Parkway and crews were activating to treat roads.
A woman and child went to Jennie Stuart Medical Center to be checked out after a wreck near the 11-mile-marker shortly after noon.
One person went to JSMC with arm injury after their car overturned in a snow-related accident on the Pennyrile Parkway NB near the US 68 interchange in Christian County just before 1 p.m.
Todd County Sheriff’s Sgt. Patrick Turner is reporting several accidents in north Todd County and is urging motorists to avoid travel there when possible.
