A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for western Kentucky counties along the Tennessee border and for all of middle Tennessee.
It’s in effect from 6 p.m. Saturday until 6 a.m. Sunday for Christian, Todd and Trigg counties and from 6 p.m. today until noon tomorrow for Montgomery, Stewart, Robertson and other Tennessee counties in our listening area.
Forecasters say up to an inch of snow and sleet is possible, in addition to about one tenth of an inch of ice from freezing rain.
While this is not the major winter storm the area had been expecting a few days ago, travel impacts will be likely tomorrow morning.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has been busy pre-treating major roadways with brine to be prepared for the precipitation.
Stay tuned to the WHOP Family of Stations and monitor our websites and social media outlets for the latest on this winter weather.
