The Hopkinsville Tigers opened 8th district play with a 79-64 win over Christian County at Lyle Dunbar Gym last night. James Nicholas had 25 points to lead the Tiger scoring with Jacarius Burks and Don VIctor adding 15 apiece in the win. Christian County had three players in double figures led by Fred Tandy’s 16 points with Olajawon White adding 13 and Eric Brody scored 12 points in defeat.
Hopkinsville built as much as a 15 point lead in the second half to improve to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in district play while Christian County fell to 0-2 and 0-1 in district action. The teams will play the rematch February 2nd at Tiger Gym.
