Gary Haddock retiring at end of month

Longtime Christian Circuit Court Clerk Gary Haddock has announced he will retire at the end of the month.

Haddock tells WHOP News that he has learned he’d take a substantial financial loss in his retirement benefits if he were to complete his term through the end of the year, so he decided to resign at the end of Friday next week.

Circuit Judge John Atkins says he intends to appoint Circuit Clerk-Elect Paige Parker to complete Haddock’s term next month.

Haddock has served in that role for 24 years and announced he would not seek reelection in January, citing health issues.
