Guthrie man arrested on drug charge

Investigation by Hopkinsville Police late Wednesday night led to the arrest of a Guthrie man on a drug charge.

Officers were called to the Lafayette Road Circle K gas station for a suspicious vehicle at about 11:30 p.m. and made contact with 34-year old Christopher Lee Patton of Guthrie.

An arrest citation says a K9 alerted on his vehicle and a search revealed a plastic baggie containing a crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine.

Patton was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance.
