CCHS principal says test data shows where improvement is needed

Christian County High School Principal Chris Bentzel says he’s pleased with some of the state assessment data released this week and some of it shows their administration where work is still needed.

Making his regular appearance on WHOP Thursday morning, Bentzel says part of looking over the data is understanding the new system.

He says the new data does show where an extra focus is needed.

Christian County High School does maintain a graduation rate above the state average, but Bentzel says they need to do a better job of making students more college and career ready.

Ninth, 10th and 11th graders at Christian County High School took a practice ACT exam last week, while seniors visited colleges, Fort Campbell and agriculture facilities.
