A Madisonville man in is jail after he allegedly used a razor knife to cut a victim during an assault Tuesday morning.
Police say 40-year old Steve Stewart and 43-year old Jeremy Payton—both of Madisonville—were in a physical altercation at about 7:30 a.m. when Stewart allegedly pulled a razor knife and cut Payton multiple times.
Payton sustained serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Baptist Health Hospital.
Stewart was arrested and charged with first-degree assault.
