Montgomery Co. couple indicted for child abuse

An investigation by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department has led to the arrest of a married couple on child abuse charges.

The Tennessee Department of Children Services received a complaint concerning a possible case of child abuse and neglect involving an infant, according to a news release, which says they contacted the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office to initiate an investigation.

The findings of the investigation were presented to the September Grand Jury. They returned a sealed indictment for the arrest of 33-year old Jayce Jones and 32-year old Jordyn Jones.

Each was charged with three counts of aggravated child abuse and neglect and were lodged in the Montgomery County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
