Madisonville men arrested after theft, pursuits

Two Madisonville men are in jail after multiple incidents and pursuits Saturday.

It began about 8:30 a.m. Saturday when Madisonville Police received a call of a vehicle theft at Truck Country Auto Sales at South Main Street and Broadway.

About 90 minutes later, officers located the stolen 2011 Chevy Impala on Hanson Road and a lengthy pursuit ensued, coming to an end on KY 109 near Utley Road when 29-year old Cameron Clark intentionally crashed the car into a corn field.

Clark fled on foot and was able to elude capture at that time.

A passenger, 37-year old Eric Harris, was arrested and charged with complicity to fleeing or evading police and felony receiving stolen property.

A call of a suspicious person in the 1400 block of West Noel Avenue came in about 11 p.m. and then another in the area of Thompson Avenue. It was there that officers located Clark again and he was arrested at the Cross Creek Apartments following a foot pursuit and search of the area by multiple agencies.

Clark is charged with receiving stolen property, wanton endangerment, multiple counts of fleeing or evading police and numerous counts related to the pursuit.

Both men are lodged in the Hopkins County Jail.
