A child was injured in a wreck Saturday evening at Country Club Lane and Lafayette Road.
The collision report from Hopkinsville Police Officer Tommy Hoffman says 29-year old Jasmine Coleman of Hopkinsville had a green light to proceed north across Country Club Lane on Lafayette Road.
A car driven by 21-year old Ainsley Maxwell of Hopkinsville was headed west on Country Club and said the glare from the sun made her not be able to see the traffic light. By the time she saw it was red, she had already gone too far to avoid a collision.
Coleman’s passenger, eight-year-old Janasia Forte of Hopkinsville, was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.
