An Adairville man is facing numerous charges, including wanton endangerment and DUI, following reports of a driver waving a handgun out of a window Thursday in Logan County.
According to the report from the Logan County Sherriff’s Department, deputies responded to Nashville Road, where a man driving a truck tried to run a female victim off the road and allegedly showed a handgun out of the driver’s side window while heading towards Russellville.
A traffic stop was conducted on the truck driven by 58-year old James Parker of Adairville, who was the only person in the vehicle and allegedly admitted to pointing the gun out of the window. He also reportedly admitted to pulling over on the side of the road and firing six rounds from the gun into a cornfield.
The report specifies there was no evidence claiming Parker ever pointed the gun at a person.
Parker was arrested and charged with reckless driving, wanton endangerment, DUI, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, carrying a concealed weapon and multiple traffic violations.
