Local woman hurt in rollover accident

A single-vehicle accident Friday morning on East Ninth Street injured the driver.

The incident happened just before 7 a.m., according to the report from Hopkinsville Police Officer Cory Smith, which says 47-year old Patricia Frederick of Hopkinsville was westbound near the Travel Inn when she said she looked down to turn on the vehicle’s defroster due to her windows fogging up

Her car then veered off the roadway and hit a stump, causing it to overturn.

Bystanders who stopped flipped the car back onto its tires and Frederick was removed from the vehicle. She was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
