Hopkinsville Community Friends will host its 7th annual Back to School Bash Saturday to hand out school supplies to any student who attends a public school in Christian County.
Rosetta Jackson with the organization says they wait until a few days after the school year begins for a number of reasons, including that’s when many of the children know exactly what school supplies they need.
Registration begins goes from 9 until 11:30 at the old Christian County Middle School gymnasium and the event ends about 1 p.m.
Any leftover supplies will be given to Sinking Fork Elementary School. Jackson says they choose a different school to receive the extras each year.
All of the supplies were donated and gathered locally.
