Forcht Bank partners with Homeland Security

Forcht Bank is teaming up with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to identify and fight cyber threats as part of the Cyber Apex Review Team.

Forcht Bank is part of the Forcht Group of Kentucky, which owns the WHOP Family of Stations and other radio stations and banks across the state. The mission of the review team program is to work closely with regional and national financial institutions to identify and analyze cyber threats and concerns.

Once cyber threats are identified through the CART program, DHS will work to find solutions to effectively mitigate the threat and determine if the solution can be rolled out to all financial institutions and organizations. Other financial institutions participating in the CART program are American Express, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and more.

Forcht Bank Executive Vice President Chip Clements says, “Cyber threats against internal systems and data integrity are becoming one of the primary concerns facing the financial industry today. This partnership will allow Forcht Bank to be on the cutting edge of cyber security – which ultimately protects our clients’ personal and financial data.”
