A wreck on Newstead Road Saturday sent a Crofton woman to Jennie Stuart Medical Center Saturday.
According to the report from Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy Corey Keene, a vehicle operated by 55-year old Penny Gibson of Crofton had been travelling towards Hopkinsville when her tires went off the left side of the roadway. Gibson overcorrected, causing her vehicle to instead go off the right side of the roadway and into a cornfield.
She then reportedly drove around 90 yards through the cornfield to a church to be more easily seen. She was taken to Jennie Stuart for treatment of back pain.
