Organizers will announce the 24 participants of the 2018-19 Leadership-Hopkinsville class on Thursday.
Candra Barnett and Dustin Gilbert, co-organizers of this year’s class, appeared on WHOP to talk about the event and Gilbert says they had several strong applicants, resulting in a larger than normal class.
Barnett described some of the mandatory events the students will take part in, including life and diversity day and visiting multiple agencies.
Each class takes part in a community project, such as completing construction of Max’s Hope Pet Rescue or creating artistic benches across the city.
The announcement will take place at the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library Thursday at 5 p.m. and the public is invited to congratulate those new participants.
