A traffic stop on Clarksville Road in south Todd County Saturday morning led to the arrest of the driver for a weapons charge.
Todd County Sheriff’s Sgt. Patrick Turner stopped 36-year old Anthony Duncan, Sr. of Clarksville for failing to stop at a stop sign and then squealing tires, according to an arrest citation.
A computer check revealed his license was suspended in Tennessee and he admitted to having a pistol in the car and it was later located in the driver’s seat.
Duncan admitted to being a convicted felon with a history of domestic violence, but his felony status could not be verified by computer at that time.
He was arrested and charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon and driving with a DUI suspended license.
