Four suspicious fires investigated in Madisonville

Madisonville Police are investigating four suspicious fires from Saturday morning.

The first happened about 5:20 a.m. at the Sonic Drive In on Main Street in Madisonville, according to a news release, which says an outside storage building caught fire under suspicious circumstances.

The second was seven minutes later at an occupied residence at 47 West Jagoe Street. The exterior of the home caught fire and the occupants were not injured.

About 13 minutes after that incident, an unoccupied car behind Automotive Express on South Main Street caught fire.

At 9:52 a.m., fire and police units responded to an unoccupied residential fire at 121 Lomond Drive.

Police say all four fires are considered suspicious in nature and a quick response by the fire department minimized damage and financial loss. There were no injuries in any of the incidents.

Anyone with information on the incidents should call Crime Stoppers of Hopkins County at 270-825-1111.
