A traffic stop in Logan County early Monday morning ended with charges against three Adairville residents on drug charges.

Deputy Robert Toombs stopped an SUV driven by 29-year old Amanda Davenport on Lickskillet Road about 1 a.m. and noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. She admitted to smoking marijuana earlier, according to a news release.

A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed a wallet belonging to 19-year old Charles Barnett that had an aluminum foil wrapper inside containing burnt residue from the prescription narcotic Opana.

A computer check revealed that Davenport’s license was suspended and that Barnett and another passenger—30-year old Jessica Carter—were wanted on warrants for failing to appear in court.

Barnett was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance and Davenport was cited into court for driving with a suspended license and without insurance.
