Clarksville Police are investigating after a man was shot to death during a home invasion early Friday morning.
Police were called to the 2000 block of Post Road about 12:30 a.m. for the report of a home invasion and shooting and family members of the teenage adult male victim were outside to flag officers down.
The victim was pronounced deceased at Tennova Hospital.
A news release says based on the preliminary investigation, multiple males entered the home, gunshots were heard inside by occupants, and it was discovered the victim had been shot. The inside of the house was also ransacked, but the other occupants were unharmed.
Police say this does not appear to be a random act and they do not believe the public to be in danger.
