For the fourth time in his career, Nashville Predators goalie Pekka Rinne has been selected as a finalist for the Vezina Award, presented to the NHL’s top goalie. Heading into the Stanley Cup playoffs, the 35-year-old Rinne had eight shutouts, tied for first in the NHL and was third in wins with 42.
However, he has struggled in the playoff series with the Colorado Avalanche, which continues with game four tonight at 9 in the Pepsi Center, Denver. The Predators lead the series 2-1 with game five Friday night in Nashville.
