Cubs-Cards postponed, Cubs Rizzo says shorten season

The Chicago Cubs-St. Louis Cardinals game scheduled for this afternoon at Wrigley Field has been postponed due to weather. The game will be made up tomorrow on what was originally an off day for both teams.

Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo is calling for fewer games. He tells ESPN 1000 in Chicago that the season should be shortened, even if it means a little less money for the players. Rizzo added that, if not shortened, the season shouldn’t start so early. There have been 25 postponements already this year.
