A woman was killed in a wreck Monday afternoon on US 68 in Trigg County.
It happened about 4:38 p.m. between Cadiz and Gracey and Kentucky State Police say 35-year old Erica Nyakeraka of Cadiz was westbound in a car and rear-ended a tractor-trailer operated by 71-year old Virgil Litwiller of Farmington.
Litwiller had just pulled out of a farm lot and was traveling at a slow rate of speed, according to KSP, who say it’s unknown why Nyakeraka did not slow down before the collision.
Nyakeraka was taken by EMS to Trigg County Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. The Transportation Cabinet indicated three other people in her car were injured, but they are not identified by KSP in the news release.
