Patti’s 1880’s Settlement is severely damaged by a fire that began Monday morning in the kitchen.
Livingston County Emergency Management Director Brent Stringer said six area fire departments responded to Patti’s about 8 a.m. after the fire began in the ceiling of the kitchen.
He says there is significant fire damage and smoke damage where the flames didn’t reach.
Patti’s Marketing Director Ann Martin says the most important thing is it was before any customers arrived and no employees were injured.
She’s sure Patti’s will rebuild, but it’s a tough time now for employees and fans of the western Kentucky landmark.
Stringer says the temporary loss of Patti’s will have a significant economic impact on the Grand Rivers community.
