One person was killed and seven were injured in a fiery multi-vehicle wreck Monday morning on I-24 near the Lafayette Road overpass.
Christian County Emergency Management Director Randy Graham said it involved two tractor-trailers and multiple motor vehicles.
Christian County Deputy Coroner Zach Lamb identified the deceased as 55-year old Mary Engrav of Waukon, Iowa.
At least one patient was flown to an area hospital by Air Evac and Fort Campbell sent an ambulance to assist.
Kentucky State Police is investigating and will provide further details.
