Assistant Christian County Attorney John Soyars will run for county attorney in this year’s election.
The Democrat says he has over two decades of experience as an assistant to County Attorney Mike Foster and he’s prepared to serve.
Soyars doesn’t anticipate making any major changes and hopes to build on progress made in the last several years at the county attorney’s office.
He is also familiar with the county government aspect of the job, as he’s filled in for Foster numerous times at Christian Fiscal Court meetings when Foster was unable to attend.
Soyars is the son of the late Tom Soyars, who served as county attorney and circuit judge in Christian County.
